The CCEI believes that leadership is about more than holding a title鈥攊t is about creating positive change within our communities. Through leadership development, civic engagement, and meaningful involvement, we empower students to discover their strengths, build authentic relationships, and develop the confidence and skills needed to become changemakers both at Cal Lutheran and beyond.
Whether you are joining a student organization for the first time, leading a campus initiative, advocating for a cause you care about, or participating in community service, every experience provides an opportunity to grow as a leader. ChangeMaker Retreat
The ChangeMaker Retreat is designed to bring student leaders together to build community, strengthen collaboration, and prepare for a successful year ahead. Through leadership development and collaborative planning, participants gain practical tools and meaningful connections that empower them to create positive change both within their organizations and across campus.
United in Action Social Justice Fair
United in Action: Social Justice Fair connects students with local nonprofit organizations, community partners, and campus groups dedicated to advancing service, advocacy, and social change. Through meaningful conversations and opportunities to get involved, students can discover ways to make a positive impact while fostering a lifelong commitment to civic engagement and justice.
Alternative Spring Break
Alternative Spring Break empowers students to become global citizens through immersive service-learning experiences that foster leadership, cultural understanding, and civic responsibility. By engaging with communities and reflecting on their experiences, participants gain a deeper appreciation for service and return inspired to create positive change in their own communities.
