MS in Counseling (CSP) Requirements
The MS in Counseling (CSP) is open to students from all undergraduate majors who have graduated from a regionally accredited college or university.

Recommendation forms (2)
- Cal Lutheran will send the required form to your two professional or academic recommenders. You can continue with your application without waiting for your recommenders to complete the form.
- Official transcript(s) from a regionally accredited college or university
- Personal statement
- Application fee ($32)
International Student Requirements
International students are eligible to apply to the MS in Counseling (CSP) program. In addition to the requirements listed above, international students must submit:
- Course by course evaluated transcripts by a NACES member company, official transcript, certified true copy in English
- Financial Responsibility Statement or Official Bank Statement
- Copy of Passport Information page
- Minimum acceptable test scores are as follows (submit one):
- TOEFL (88)
- IELTS (6.5)
- Duolingo (120)
- Pearson’s (PTE Academic) (58)
- Completion of ELS 112
Transcript Information
Official transcripts must be ordered and sent directly to Cal Lutheran via certified e-transcript or mail. E-transcripts are recommended where possible.

Domestic applicants who completed their bachelor’s degree outside of the U.S. are required to submit course by course evaluated transcripts, official transcript, certified true copy in English.
