Earle Charles serves as Director of Graduate Programs in Information Technology in the School of Management at 麻豆原创, where he brings a rich blend of private industry expertise and academic leadership to students pursuing advanced degrees in Information Systems and Information Technology.


Dr. Charles first joined Cal Lutheran as an Adjunct Professor while serving concurrently as Chief Information Officer at Kedren Health. He was subsequently promoted to Senior Adjunct Professor before transitioning to a full-time faculty role as a Lecturer in the School of Management.


With more than 50 years of experience in Information Technology, Dr. Charles counts his tenure in the C-Suite at Kedren Community Health Center, Inc. (Kedren Health) among his most significant professional achievements. He joined Kedren's executive team in 2003 and served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for over 17 years. In that role, he oversaw Kedren's information systems for both day-to-day operations and strategic business alignment, continuously assessing operational efficiency and applying Business Process Reengineering methodologies to implement forward-thinking technological solutions.


Following a distinguished run at Kedren Health, Dr. Charles joined Clare | Matrix as Chief Operations Officer, a position he held until his retirement in 2021.


Over the course of his career, Dr. Charles has held leadership roles across a diverse range of organizations and industries, including:



  • Candle Corporation — Director, Education Services Division (later acquired by IBM)

  • Bauerer International — President & CEO, North American Subsidiary

  • Kedren Community Health Center, Inc.— Chief Information Officer

  • The Paragon Collection Ltd. — Co-Owner

  • Unicom Systems International — General Manager & VP of Sales

  • Symark International — Director of Customer Support


Community & Civic Leadership


Dr. Charles has devoted decades to community service alongside his professional career.


He served as Executive Director and CEO of the Valley Youth Conference, Inc. (VYC) for over two decades. The VYC is a youth sports organization serving approximately 8,000 young people between the ages of 4 and 14 across Southern California in sports including football, cheerleading, track and field, and cross country running.


For more than 40 years, Dr. Charles has served on the Operating Committee of Guyana Medical Relief (GMR), which provides healthcare support to Guyanese communities through medical missions, medical supplies and equipment, and general health sustainability practices at hospitals and clinics throughout Guyana.


As President of the California Caribbean Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Charles works to unite the Caribbean community in Southern California around projects that serve the common good of Caribbean communities both in the United States and throughout the Caribbean.


Dr. Charles also serves as Program Director of the L.A.M.P. Mentorship Program in Pasadena, California. The program provides mentorship to young men of color in high school — freshmen through seniors — offering monthly workshops led by subject matter experts covering essential life and professional skills such as time management, financial literacy, business writing, entrepreneurship, and professional etiquette.
